What We BeLIEVE

Walden Community Church is a non-denominational church which means we are not governed by a larger organization.

We are a self-governing church which follows Scripture, the Holy Spirit, and church tradition to inform our ministry.  And while we are independent in our leadership, we are still ecumenical in our practice. We have members from all backgrounds; Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Assembly of God, Catholic, and Seventh Day Adventist.

At Walden Church we seek to worship the LORD in many different ways. But ultimately, we are here for you; the community. Our flexibility and freedom means that we can assess the needs of our neighborhood and adjust our ministries to meet those needs. We are always available to talk to you about membership and our community involvement.

Following Jesus

Here at Walden Church we believe following Jesus is as easy as A, B, C

Admit that you are a Sinner

All have sinned and continue to fall short of God’s glory

(Romans 3:23)

There is no shame in admitting you can’t do life alone. Our Church is a place of people who have admitted that already – a Church is a family, made up of people who are imperfect and broken and hurting.

Believe in Jesus

There is no salvation by anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved .

(Acts 4:12)

Do you believe that Jesus stands ready to offer you life? Do you believe that a life of following him is better than a life without him?

Confess Jesus as Your Lord and Savior

If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Belief and confession is the cornerstone of salvation. It’s not about how good you are, how much you give, what you know or how long you’ve been saved. We’re saved not by anything that we do, but only by what Christ did on the cross.

If this sounds like the life you want – the life you have always wanted. Then I invite you to pray this prayer.

Suggested Prayer

Jesus, I am a sinner. Thank you for coming to rescue me from a life of sin. I want to live my life following you. I put my trust in you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for the gift of eternal life. Amen.

If you prayed that prayer – or you simply want to know more of what it means to be a follower of Jesus, I invite you to go deeper in your faith by joining our Church Family.
